Sokolniki Park

A Water Fountain!

Picnic Lunch

Practicing their Russian poses.

Can you see C peaking out of the moon?

The night sky was on the inside of the moon.

There was music playing and the dance floor was busy.  It is hard to dance with your purse over one shoulder, most ladies hang them up either in the tree or

on the rack designed for purses at the far right of the photo.

Wow, that is a lot of roses!
We met friends at Sokolniki park for a picnic and a swim.  It is hard to find a pool here in Moscow and once you do, it is pricey.  But, we had lots of fun!  And finished our day at the park with some morozhenoe (ice cream).

Summer Sunset

To the Library and Home Again

You know you are back in Moscow when

you spot a car painted as a leopard,

and one with a futuristic woman.

I know once in awhile we see a custom paint job on a car in the states but here it is an every day occurrence.  I am assuming that it is a Russian thing but perhaps not, anyone see custom painted cars in your neck of the woods?

Frankfurt Airport

I know liquor laws vary from state to state and country to country but just a fyi for you, you can buy Jack and Coke in a can in the airport shop in Frankfurt, right above the juice.
