Happy Early birthday S!

We took the opportunity while K was home for the weekend and before R left for Russia to celebrate S's 10th birthday.  It is likely we'll have another celebration or two!  She made her own cake (her request) and in addition to being cute it was yummy!

October's Full Moon

is the Hunter's Moon.  Which kinda makes me chuckle because when my men are duck or goose hunting they bemoan the full moon. . .

Making Mashed Potatoes

from our own potatoes!

Court of Honor

Troop 5 fall Court of Honor was held on a drippy evening with pork roast, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn and a roll, cobbler with ice cream for dessert.  YUM!

Princess Party

Our American Heritage Girl Troop had a Veggie Tales _Penniless Princess_ party.  We watched the movie, enjoyed a sweet treat, played a musical chair type game with virtues and made cards for our friends at Children's Care Hospital and School.  My little knight in shining armor had to accompany my princesses because his older brothers and R were all hunting and camping.  I was going to make them princess dresses BUT prioritized my time instead and found these at Savers.  Aren't they lovely?  and handsome?

After I picked the girls up from a birthday party in MN ( shout out to the V family, Happy Birthday A!) we headed Southwest to Harrisburg SD to take part in one of our favorite fall activities~ a corn maze!  It was a beautiful evening and we enjoyed finding 10 checkpoints PLUS a secret one for a prize!
